Terms of Use

Pace Invaders — a walkin' & shootin' affair. Last updated 24 August 2026.

The short version. Pace Invaders is a mixed reality game played while walking on a real, moving treadmill. That carries real physical risk. Follow the safety rules, operate your treadmill the way its manufacturer says to, and stop the moment anything feels wrong. By playing, you accept that risk.

1. Who we are

Pace Invaders is made and published by Graphikate, Singapore. Questions and notices: annie@graphikate.com.

2. Safety rules

These are conditions of play, not suggestions:

3. Health

Playing means physical exercise on a moving belt while wearing a headset. Talk to a doctor before playing if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, a balance or inner-ear disorder, epilepsy or photosensitivity (the game contains flashing effects), recent injuries or surgery, or any condition that exercise or virtual reality could aggravate. Follow the health and safety guidance that came with your headset.

4. Age

Playing on a treadmill is for adults aged 18 and over. Younger players may watch; they may not walk the belt.

5. Your equipment

You are responsible for your treadmill and headset: their condition, their placement, and operating them according to their manufacturers' instructions. The game does not connect to or control your treadmill; matching speeds is up to you.

6. Assumption of risk

Walking on a treadmill carries a risk of falls and injury, and wearing a headset while doing so adds to it. By playing you confirm you understand these risks and choose to accept them. The safety measures in the game (the drift guard, the passthrough floor window, the pause) reduce risk; they cannot remove it.

7. The game

We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to play. The game, its art, names, music and code belong to Graphikate. The game is provided as is, without warranty of any kind to the extent the law allows; we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Purchases

Additional worlds, where offered, are sold through Meta Horizon's billing platform. Prices are shown before you buy. Refunds are handled under Meta's store policies.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Graphikate is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the game, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the game in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including under the laws of Singapore.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; the date above tells you when. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction.
